A little late but Valentine's Day at the Wienee Ranch

Wow, what a difference a week makes!! This time last Thursday we had 9-12 inches of snow depending on where you were at in Catawba County, North Carolina. Here at the Wienee Ranch we had 10 inches on the back deck where we measured. The fur-babies would not even venture out the front door! LOL Usually, when one of us open the front door, Sarge is always the first out, not that day!! He would stop at the front door and just look at us as we were standing on our covered front porch, we would say," Come on Sarge, lets go play!" Not a movement LOL! Smart doggies!!

Well, I joined Sandy at 521 Lake Street Valentine's Day swap! Sandy was my partner!! Wow, did she spoil me!! I got a huge box of the cutest Valentine goodies and red, white, and pink items to craft with! She even sent me packages of ric rac to use!! So excited! She made me the cutest banner with felt heart cut outs and vintage Valentines and these huge hearts that look like conversation hearts candy!!! I was so spoiled! Thank you again Sandy!!

We had a great Valentine's Day at the Wienee Ranch!! When hubby got home from work he found his Valentine from me. I wrote him 101 things that I love about him. It took me several days to come up with the list! Some were funny, some were romantic, and some were serious! He was crying by the time he got to the 2nd page. It took 6 pages to write it all down. I decided to hand write it instead of typing it on the computer. He said it was one of the most thoughtful gifts he had ever received and he couldn't believe all the time I put into it!! We have been married for over 32 years and together for almost 35! So, we don't do gifts anymore. We love each other and if we want something and have the money for it, we get it. We quit using credit cards a long time ago and we save and pay cash for big purchases. I do not want to owe more than we have to in these days and time! Yes, it would be easy to buy stuff on credit but I rather wait until we have the cash for it! I know I am not normal or well society tells me I am not!! I am a conservative lady! I think I should have been born way earlier than 1965!! My heart and soul love the old ways of life! Hubby did get me a small gift, a dachshund sterling silver necklace! Yes, I prefer silver to gold! Told you I am not normal LOL
Hope you all have a blessed week! Enjoy the pictures of my swap goodies and Valentine Decorations around the Wienee Ranch!

Wonderful goodies from Sandy !
Beautiful garland and my collection of vintage them dachshund valentines

So many of my valentine decorations are gifts that I received in valentine Day swaps over the past 4 years! I have been so blessed by the wonderful friends that I have met in blog land! People just don't understand how you can connect and have real friendships with someone you have never met in real life!
Thank you so much to all of my blog friends! I am sure if you look closely you will see a gift or two from you!
Hugs,
Lynn

Love that tow truck.
I think a lot of people are like you about spending money. I even think blogging has helped me with that.
I know more people that like silver over gold. I still have gold but since I sell Origami Owl, I am wearing the silver. Also rose gold is big now.
The big changes in the weather brings on migraines.......but glad to get a break from the cold.
Have a good week-end.

LoL I thought the same thing as Debby. Love that truck. I'm like you do not use credit cards if I don't have the money don't get it. I was tempted a few times but have lived without them for 15 years so didn't cave.Been talking alot about you lately they keep wanting to put one those electronic devices in hubbies back and I keep telling them how bad it was for you. Hugs! Amy
